Weekly Weigh In

I haven’t been to a Weight Watchers meeting in 3 weeks.  Today marked my return to the weigh in, and I was sweating bullets.  How much damage did I do to my progress in the Philippines?  Have I gained it ALL back?  Or worse- did I get fatter than when I started???  After removing my sweater, belt, shoes, and watch I stepped on the scale with trepidation.

The final result: -2.8 LBS!!!!!  I don’t know how it’s possible, but I managed to lose almost 3 lbs.

That brings my total weight loss to 7lbs.  Maybe I really can do this!

Drumroll Please…

I had my 1st official Weight Watchers weigh in yesterday and the final result is…

4.2 lbs!!!!  I’ve lost 4.2 lbs in just 1 week.  Of course this is mostly water weight, but I’ll take it.  This new Points Plus plan is great.  I’m never hungry, and have actually had a hard time eating enough to meet my points allocation.  Hopefully I’ll be able to keep up the program while I’m abroad for 2 weeks.  This will be the biggest challenge I’m going to face with this diet, but if I can make it through this I can definitely achieve my goal.

I want to buy a pedometer for while I’m in the Philippines.  I can then convert my walking into activity points…which means I can eat more 🙂  Does anyone have suggestions for a reliable pedometer?

Eww and OH NO!

I woke up yesterday feeling not so hot, but by the time 5pm rolled around I was knocking down death’s door.  So I sped home and made sweet love to NyQuil.  I was asleep by 8:30 and didn’t wake up again until 7am this morning.  Unfortunately I’m still dying.  I’ll be picking up the miracle drug tonight…also known as a Z-Pak!

On to bigger and better things…I signed up for Weight Watchers today!  The last time I joined WW I lost 32 lbs, so I’m hoping for a similar result and to keep it off this time.  Needless to say my initial weigh in was less than thrilling.  In fact it was down right DISGUSTING!!!  But I’m going to use this as my motivation to achieve my New Year’s resolution to fit into my favorite jeans again.  So every Thursday I’ll be giving you an update on my progress, and pass along any tips I pick up along the way.

Starting weight: 229.2 lbs (gasp)
